  • Where does your power come from? This group of charts and data shows which fuel sources power Australia's main electricity networks.
  • Most of Australia's electricity comes from coal, although brown coal reliance is falling as plants are decommissioned. Wind and solar are growing sources of energy.
  • This data shows fuels feeding the National Electricity Market (NEM) in Tasmania, Victoria, SA, NSW, ACT and coastal Queensland. WA and NT not currently included.
  • Trend data updated at end of month.
