🏭 Major Facility Emissions: Multi-Year Monitoring Period (MYMP)

Companies with excess emissions and a plan to cut them over time can apply for a multi-year monitoring period (MYMP).

  • This extends the baseline across up to five years, giving the facility more time to complete emissions reduction projects.
  • During the MYMP, a facility may exceed its annual baseline without penalty. Offsets and credits are assessed at the end of the full period.
  • View the latest MYMP data.

OnlyFacts reports annual emissions and baselines. MYMP facilities may appear to exceed their baseline each year, but aren’t eligible for credits—or required to surrender them—until the MYMP ends.
