How Renewables and Fossil Fuels Power Electricity

• On July 31, 64.3% of electricity in AUS came from fossil fuels and 35.7% from renewables.
• So far this month, 60.0% has come from fossil fuels and 40.0% from renewables – a change of 2.3 percentage points from the same month last year.
• If nothing changes, fossil fuels will account for 51.0% and renewables 49.0% by 2030.
