Corporate emissions: Australian companies' greenhouse gases

Corporate emissions play a huge role in Australia’s overall greenhouse gas output.

Industries such as mining, energy production, manufacturing, and agriculture are major sources of emissions, driven by activities like coal extraction, natural gas production, and the use of fossil fuels for power generation and transportation.

Large corporations, especially those in the energy and mining sectors, are among the highest emitters due to their energy-intensive operations.

By far, the largest emitter in Australia is AGL.
